Personality: Quite reserved and quiet. If he does speak, he speaks with purpose. Is not prone to worry and is calm and known to act quickly on his feet, even in hectic situations. Has a general impassive expression. However, it is known that once someone gets close to him, he (and his character) will open up much more by being more talkative and giving more opinions.
History: When he was a child, his parents died in an accident that killed both of them. From then on, he lived with his aunt and uncle, whom had taken him in and treated him as their own. He and his cousins (Asami and Daisuke) grew close as siblings. When Kazuo became sixteen, he requested that he register as independent, wishing to no longer burden his aunt and uncle. Though they were unsure and against his request, they agreed, as long as they pay half of his rent. Currently, Kazuo lives alone in a small apartment not too far away from his high school.
As a young child, everyone has always considered him plain and relatively uninteresting, due to none of his features sticking out...he was simply 'normal'. Therefore, he had learned to not be bothered by it and found his sense of self more important. He is capable of ignoring rumors or curiosities because of this, finding no purpose in the knowledge or pursuit of it unless he benefits from it. As he grew older, many people found him to be quite handsome, though they dislike his impassive expression or "emotionless" eyes.
At the moment, Kazuo is a senior in high school and, with all of his tests taken, has a lot of free time on his hands. He is surprisingly very strong and athletic, though he has put little to no effort into exercise other than school requirements, chores and errands. Because of his physical abilities, he has always been sought out by the majority of sports teams in his school, but is too lazy to participate.
Kazuo is a closet otaku. He has always liked video games and anime. Other than studying, going to school or doing chores, he fills the rest of his time with playing video games and watching anime, to no one's actual realization. His eyes has suffered over time and is considered legally blind if he does not have on contacts.
Because of his good looks, he gets a moderate amount of crushes and advances. He is not dense or oblivious to these advances, but simply does not find interest in them to pursue anything romantic, though contends to still be friends with them if they choose. This lack of care for girls may be because he had already developed a small crush on a girl in his class, Yue Hotaru, a girl who is half foreign with straight black hair and green eyes. Oddly, he had fallen in love with her because it looks like she would very naturally cosplay one of his favorite characters in a console RPG. Sometimes he asks people about her to possibly get closer to her, yet as not acted on any of the information he had gotten.
Works part-time for a famous tofu house. When offer the job of waiter, he refused (as he did not want to deal with a lot of people and, quite frankly, socialization) and instead opted as a food prep in the kitchen. Though he does not cook for the restaurant himself, he often watches the chef cook and is exchanged ideas. He experiments in his own kitchen when he cooks for himself. Kazuo is actually quite a capable chef and is the only thing he seems interested in besides video games. His character's last name "Chiffon" comes from a lemon chiffon cake, his first cake he ever baked himself.

Character Personality: Perhaps considered mysterious because of his quiet attitude. Umbrix does not differ too much in the way Kazuo would act, though their expressions may be an exception. Umbrix cares more about what happens to other players in-game than he does in real life and tends to smile more. Usually does not take off his armor and mask and only few have seen his face behind it. Is fond of cloaks with hoods and can spend as much shopping for the perfect cloak as a woman can with shoes. Fascinated with the cooking aspect of Ardermina Online and at times will go hunting for rare ingredients by himself.
