Backstory:
Tai has been ridden with illnesses since she was a child. Her life has never been in sever danger due her parents high end jobs being able to provide her with all the medical aid she needed, but she's always been handled as if she could keel over at any second. She's lived a nearly completely bed ridden life under her parents sharp eyes. As a result, she is frail and unable to do much that requires physical exertion. Her forced hermit lifestyle caused her to grow attached to the only things that could grant her an excuse of a social life: the internet. Specifically, MMOs and the like are what were most attractive to her: she could live out the life she couldn't online.
Her parents were always happy to provide her with whatever kept her quiet, subservient, and in the house, so she was always able to access the newest games.
